What is involved
Typical shifts can include vacuuming, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, changing linen, grocery shopping with or for you, batch cooking, and labelling meals for the week ahead. We can also help sort paperwork, set medication reminders alongside your pharmacist or nurse advice, and prepare the home before allied health visits.
If you share a property with others, we coordinate tasks so everyone knows what is being handled during the rostered window. Where a task requires a registered trade — for example electrical repairs — we flag it early and help you organise the right licensed professional under separate arrangements.
What to expect on a shift
Workers introduce themselves at the door, confirm the plan for the day, and check if anything has changed since the last visit. We wear identifiable clothing, bring basic cleaning supplies unless you prefer your own products, and record notes you request for plan reviews.
We keep an eye on trip hazards, smoke alarms you can reach without a ladder, and hot surfaces in the kitchen, and we speak up if we notice something that might need a follow-up with your support coordinator.

What if I need to cancel or shorten a shift around a hospital visit?
Call us as soon as you know dates change. We will reschedule where possible, update your service agreement notes, and talk honestly about any notice periods set out in your agreement so there are no surprises.
